wow! I have a lot to catch up on!

First and foremost, I'll tell you all right now that this is gonna be a short post. I've been spending the week with my grandpa and I tell ya what ... I'm pretty pooped out! Don't worry though, I'm planning on doing a big 'ole post about our time together as soon as he forks over the pictures he's been snapping of me all week. I mean really, what's a post without a few good "capture the moment" pictures. Right?

For now, I'd just like to say that today was my mom's first day at her new job in the Montesorri school. I'd also like to say that I am very, very proud of her because she only cried a little. Finally, I'd like to throw in that I am also very, very proud of myself. Even though I HATE getting my bottle from anyone but mommy, I happily chugged down my full 150ml when Sarela, my new nanny friend, gave it to me. I figured momma suffered enough by having to leave me, so why should I make her suffer more by coming home to a hungry, and cranky, little girl? Thoughful little beansprout, aren't I?

So for a couple more days, I'll be out of the loop blogging. Put some pressure on grandpa though to get those pictures to me ... and I swear you'll get a good old fashioned update like old times :)

Tomorrow morning at 8:05 mommy will be going to the airpot because ... My granpa is coming, my granpa is coming!!!!
So, I'm off to bed to get some beauty sleep. Hey, I hear those first impressions are pretty important :)

happy birthday mommy!

Today my mommy celebrated her 32nd birthday. I think she really enjoyed it!

First, daddy woke up and did my morning feeding which gave mommy and extra hour and a half of sleep. Then, at 10:00 my present arrived! Yes, I said it arrived! I got my mommy a "breakfast in bed." But not just your typical breakfast, it arrived at our door from a special gourmet company. The big basket had gourmet coffee and tea, fresh baked bread and jams, pineapple juice, fruit, muffins ... all this wrapped up with a balloon and a bow! I think it was delicious because she seemed to scarf it all down pretty quickly. I couldn't enjoy it ... so I just sucked on the balloon.

While mommy and daddy were eating another gift arrived. A beautiful batch of sunny flowers were delivered from grammy and grandpa Cacho. They really brightened up the room and now they are in the entryway to greet new visitors.

 

Finally, daddy gave mommy her present. He gave her a beautiful fresh water pearl necklace and wrote her a letter that made mommy cry. Don't worry though, it wasnt hormones. Mommy's tears were from happiness! Daddy told mommy 32 reasons why he loves her and it made mommy feel sooo special.

Daddy took the pictures, so he's not in them ... but here's me and mommy cuddling on her 32nd! Don't tell mommy that I posted this though ... she'll be embarrassed that I'm showing everyone her "morning look!"

Just when my mommy thinks she's going to lose her head ... I go and do something adorable to remind her how incredible I am.

Today ... I laughed. I was a razzy laugh, but definitely a laugh. Now mommy is doing everything she can to get me to do it again. I'm gonna hold out a bit I think ... can't give her all the good stuff at once! Gotta save up something for the next "all-nighter, mommy gets no sleep a thon."

Mommy and I went to the park today and on our way home made a stop at a little coffee shop. We've both been suffering with the sleep "training."

Why does mommy insist on calling it training? Heck if I know! What I understand from this sleep training business is that I get rocked instead of fed. What happened to the all you can eat buffet every 2 hours in the night like before? hummmph!

Mom is working on getting me to settle better at night so that I wake her up less ... aka. "sleep training"
I guess she isn't too fond of my cuddle calls every 2 hours. So, until we all get some decent z's I'll be off blogging for a bit. My little brain isn't nearly as creative when I'm working on 4 hours of sleep.
