mama's got a brand new bag!

It's pretty much official, my mommy is going to leave me ... to go back to work. I know that it was a really hard decision for her to make. We had many sleepless nights ...

The thing is, the offer was a pretty good one. Mommy will be working in a Montessori school with little kids. It is what she has wanted to do for a long time, but there just weren't any opportunities available. Well, this one came out of the blue and it seems to fit her like a glove.

I think the hardest part is that we'll be apart and I'm so teeny tiny. I keep telling mommy that part of the time she'll be away is nap time anyway. I also remind her that a "school schedule" means that she'll get all the school holidays and she'll have the summers free. Finally, I say that it's a contract and that she'll have insurance and pension payments. But when all that doesn't work, I belt out my highest pitch screams and wails and then she smiles and says, "yeah, I guess I can do this."

So, she's decided. She's going to talk to the director tomorrow and she'll start on February 24th.

Now, what is she going to do with me, you ask? Mommy told me they are going to hire a nanny, the best around. I hope they find one as nice to me as mommy is :)

I remember going back to work when Kaitlyn and Tyler were 6 weeks old. Only problem was I nursed Kaitlyn full time. Thank goodness I had a job that didn't mind me lugging a pump. The first week is always the hardest, but the time with others can be good for them. Just remember that this is all part of being a parent. You will be fine and so will Isa!!
